“I would love to see a series of debates, if the heat would break, on the back of a flatbed truck in about five different places in this state,” Jones said. “Just get up there one-on-one. We’re not letting up,” Jones said. “Tommy Tuberville can hide from voters and refuse to answer their questions. That’s his choice. I’m going to keep showing up, looking people in the eye and earning their vote. South Alabama has been good to me for a long time, and I’m ready to get back to Mobile and kick off this final stretch.”

“This anti-woke, anti-DEI obsession has gone way too far when we start erasing Black Americans who put their lives on the line for this country,” Jones said. “Doris Miller was a hero. He served in a segregated Navy that wouldn't even allow Black sailors like him to serve in combat roles. But when Pearl Harbor came under attack, he didn't hesitate. He helped his wounded shipmates and manned an anti-aircraft gun he had never been trained to use. That is courage. That is patriotism.”

“We are on a cliff when it comes to hunger in this state,” Jones said. “And we got to do something about it, because let me tell you, that’s your friends and your neighbors.”

“Donald Trump promised to bring prices down. Instead, he’s trying to do it on the backs of American and Alabama farmers,” Jones said. “Alabama cattlemen are already getting crushed by the cost of fertilizer, diesel, equipment and everything else it takes to stay in business. Flooding the market with tariff-free foreign beef isn’t a serious plan to lower costs. It’s another Washington decision that leaves Alabama farmers holding the bag.”

“We are moving into areas that Democrats haven't gone in a while. That's why we're doing these town halls,” said Jones. “We are not just going out trying to preach to the choir. We're talking to people and we're listening to people. That's the critical piece.”

“I want to hear directly from the voters of Marshall County about what they want to see from their next governor,” said Jones. “Democrat, Republican or somewhere in between, come ask us a question. That’s what these town halls are about.”

“Tuberville is riding around talking to ChatGPT and the Doug Jones campaign is riding around talking to you on Sunday nights, at town halls, wherever we go,” Jones said. “That’s who we’re talking to because that’s where the real answers are for the people of Alabama. It’s not on ChatGPT.”

“A student graduating from Troy shouldn’t feel like they have to leave Alabama to find a good-paying job or build the life they want,” said Jones. “We need to build a state our young people are proud not just to come from, but to stay in, to come home to and to help lead into the future”

"This week is the 91st anniversary of when Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act," Jones told the crowd. "And I mentioned that not just because it's so important to so many people, probably including a lot of people in this room, but the fact that we've got a United States senator running for governor who stood on the floor of the United States Senate the other day with a big poster that said ‘Social Security is a scam,’ a ‘Ponzi scheme.’

“This state benefits from a healthy two-party system, and we haven't had it in a while, and we’re going to have it,” Jones said during his weekly livestream Sunday. “You could feel going into this particular reorganization, regardless of how the elections were going to turn out, you were going to have a really healthy political party to challenge the status quo going forward.”

"Twenty-five cents of every dollar you give this state goes to prisons, between $900 million and a billion dollars a year, supporting facilities that are failing and are the deadliest in the nation,"

"The governor appoints the prison commissioner. We need to get somebody in there that is going to open it up, look under every hood, everywhere you can go,” said Jones. "I think there needs to be an independent commission, an independent review agency that is looking at the prison system, how it's running, and the money that's being spent."

[In regards to the new power transformer factory coming to the Shoals.] "That's going to be about a thousand new jobs," Jones said. "I am not convinced that that is filtering down to the local workers as much as it should. We need to make sure that when these folks are coming in here, they make certain guarantees, not on the tax base, but that they bring in jobs that are going to be good paying, that are going to give people opportunities for advancement."
