Louise Jones Brings the Doug Jones Campaign to Mobile, Joined by Kalisha Figures

Mobile, AL – Two women navigating two of the state's toughest races this November midterm election, Louise Jones, wife of Doug Jones, and Dr. Kalisha Figures, wife of Rep. Shomari Figures, are joining forces for a fireside chat in Mobile to discuss the issues shaping women's lives across the state.

Louise Jones launched her Women for Alabama listening tour last week in Auburn, and Mobile is the second stop. This event will be held at the Fuse Factory in Downtown Mobile.

"Every stop on this tour reminds me why Doug and I are in this race,” said Louise Jones. “We’re doing it for women, for working families, and for folks desperate for a change and who deserve to be heard."

Even though Mobile will no longer be part of Rep. Figures' district, the fight for fair representation and protecting marginalized voices in the area will not stop for the Figures family.

"With our district redrawn and this election more important than ever, I wanted Mobile women to be able to have a real conversation," said Dr. Kalisha Figures. "When women actually have a say in the decisions and policies that affect their lives, everyone in this state is better off."
