Doug Jones: Tommy Tuberville Might Want to Update His ChatGPT

Birmingham, AL – During his weekly Ask Doug Live livestream Sunday, Doug Jones took a jab at Tommy Tuberville’s recent comments about using ChatGPT while traveling across Alabama, drawing a contrast with Jones’ focus on talking directly to voters.

Pointing to Tuberville’s unsubstantiated claim that undocumented immigrants are receiving Medicare, Jones joked, “I don’t know what rogue version of ChatGPT he’s using, but it might ought to get updated a little bit... He doesn’t talk to people. He talks to ChatGPT, but he doesn’t talk to people. He doesn’t take questions.”

Jones has been traveling across the state hosting town halls and taking questions directly from voters. On Sunday, the questions ranged from grocery prices and electricity bills to education.

“Tuberville is riding around talking to ChatGPT and the Doug Jones campaign is riding around talking to you on Sunday nights, at town halls, wherever we go,” Jones said. “That’s who we’re talking to because that’s where the real answers are for the people of Alabama. It’s not on ChatGPT.”
